A.N.C.H.O.R.E.D. - Marriage Ministry
Founded by Lamar and Lashandra Davis, Anchored Marriage Ministry is dedicated to strengthening marriagesand preparing singles for healthy, Christ-centered relationships through faith, healing, and connection.
Married since 2002, Lamar and Lashandra have experienced both the joys and the challenges of marriage firsthand—deepening their passion to help others build strong, lasting, and God-honoring relationships.
Their mission is simple yet powerful: to heal, connect, and grow. They guide couples and individuals in healing from past wounds, cultivating deep emotional and spiritual connections, and growing into thriving partners who reflect love, commitment, and purpose.
The ministry is strengthened by the expertise of Ordained Pastor Waid Scarbrough, who brings biblical wisdom and spiritual guidance, and Lashandra Davis, a licensed therapist, who provides professional insight into emotional and relational healing. Together, they offer a holistic approach to marriage ministry—combining faith-based principles with practical tools for relationship success.
Their ministry is built on foundational scripture:
-
Mark 10:6-9 – “But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ For this reason, a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
-
James 1:4 – “Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”
-
Song of Solomon 8:4 – “I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem, that you not stir up or awaken love until it pleases.”
Through their personal journey, years of counseling and mentoring, and their shared passion for restoration, Lamar and Lashandra recognized the need for a ministry that fosters spiritual growth, emotional healing, and relational transformation. Anchored Marriage Ministry was born out of their desire to see relationships flourish—grounded in faith, built on trust, and anchored in love.
Through workshops, counseling, retreats, mentorship, and community support, they have witnessed countless marriages restored, individuals transformed, and families strengthened. They believe that no matter the obstacles a relationship faces, healing is possible when couples commit to growth, communication, and faith.
At Anchored Marriage Ministry, couples and singles are given a safe space to heal, connect, and grow—because this ministry is more than a program—it’s a movement to see love restored and relationships anchored in purpose.
